Once, there were three artists: a ceramicist, a screen printer, and a painter.
They lived separate lives, in separate places. They made their art separately in the little spare time they had.
And it felt incomplete to be, well… so utterly separate.
One day, a mysterious force of faith called upon each of them to travel far away to an enchanted island of misfit artists.
There, they landed straight into the paint-crusted arms of the most eclectic and ingenious creatives, all of whom had heeded the call and found what they’d been missing: community.
The three artists built a space so they could create together under one roof.
Then, they spent their days unleashing their boldest creations upon the world, and every night, they huddled together, chatting about their weirdest little visions and how they felt so utterly free.
And just like that, life felt full of color.
Today, COMPOUND is a multi-disciplinary studio space where creative connections converge. We’re a melting pot where mad ideas simmer, passions ignite, and hands get dirty.
We’re not fancy - we’ll welcome you into our clay, dye, or paint-crusted arms. Our space is eclectic, with plenty of handmade bits and bobs and Bali dogs. But hey, it’s got character! And each person who walks through our open door becomes part of this beautiful jumble.
We’d love for you to get involved, and we offer a variety of workshops and evening events. Drop-ins are always welcome, so come by anytime to see what’s happening and connect with fellow creative folks.
